State: Less Than 1% Of Kids In Texas Classrooms Test Positive For COVID-19

Education

State health officials say the number of Texas students who have tested positive since returning to the classroom so far is statistically small. The Texas Department of State Health Services says about 2,300 of the million-plus kids who are back on public school campuses had contracted coronavirus as of this past Sunday. That's about one-fifth of one-percent. Health officials and the Texas Education Agency are expected to update the number of coronavirus cases in each school district on Wednesday of every week.
