Texas Supreme Court Nixes GOP Attempt To Stop Drive-Thru Voting

The Texas Supreme Court is refusing a Republican-led effort to close down ten drive-thru early voting sites in Harris County. The high court on Thursday turned away separate requests from the Harris County GOP and the Texas Republican Party without comment. Justice John Devine was the sole dissenter on the all-Republican court. Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo praised the court's move, describing the GOP efforts as attempted "voter suppression." About 75 thousand ballots have already been cast at the drive-thru sites.
