Every once in a while, we see a story and you kind of feel bad for the guy.

They make a choice so dumb, you kind of have sympathy for them.

I'm not saying it happens all the time, but every once in a while it does.

This is one of those stories.

AND

Guess what?!

It comes out of Florida.

Are you shocked?

Anyways, a Pasco County man has gotten him in legal trouble after he allegedly impersonated an officer.

How did he caught you ask?

He ended up pulling over a real one, without knowing he was, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Matthew Joseph Erris had the plan to pretend to be a cop, he was having fun, but he took things too far. Deputies said Erris installed red and blue lights installed on his grill.

Last week, he activated his lights and decided to turn them on for an innocent bystander. Unlucky for Erris, it was an undercover cop.

The detective immediately called 911 to report an unusual traffic stop and real deputies came to pull over Erris for his impersonation.

When the deputies checked his car, they found a realistic looking pistol and saw a law enforcement light bar installed on the top of his SUV.

Erris ended up being arrested and later released on bond.

I mean what are the odds?!

You're pretending to be a cop and you end up pulling over a cop.

This poor guy.

He must've been so upset. If only he didn't pull over the undercover cop.

Who knows how far he could've gone with this skit?
