There's something about airline travel that just raises peoples' tempers because yet another fight broke out on a plane due to someone not wearing a face mask.
This fight started between two passengers on an Allegiant flight from Mesa to Provo, Utah, on Saturday. A flight attendant asked a man wearing a face shield to also put on a face mask since the airline requires passengers to cover their nose and mouth during the entire flight. The maskless man was later identified as 52-year-old Rio James Honaker.
Honacker started squabbling with the attendant when a man sitting in front of him decided to get involved.
"You could just feel that something physical was going to start happening," said Rylie Lansford, who was also on the plane and caught the fight on camera.
The flight was ready to take off, except for Honaker, who still wouldn't put a mask on.
First profanity started flying between Honaker and the other man, and soon fists when a flight attendant tried to escort Honaker off the plane.
“Some people have asked me, did you throw the first blow? No, I didn’t throw the first blow. The first blow came when that man turned around and started being belligerent to me,” Honaker told KSL.

An off-duty police officer broke up the fight and Honaker was taken off of the plane. Mesa Police charged Honaker with disorderly conduct.
Lansford said that the flight attendants did a good job at dealing with the two men and trying to enforce Allegiant policy.
"The flight attendants were 'oh, you get a glimpse into what we deal with,' " said Lansford in an Instagram video detailing what she saw.
As for Honaker, he said he wants an apology from Allegiant for getting tossed from the plane.
