Texas Legislative Hearings Held On Last Week's Power Outages

Today the Texas House and Senate are trying to get to the bottom of the state's massive power outages.  Testifying before a committee, today, is the head of ERCOT, which is in charge of the state's power grid. CEO Bill Magness has repeatedly said that the rolling outages were needed to prevent the state from falling into a complete blackout that would have taken weeks to recover from. There were multiple deaths in Texas during last week's storm, linked to exposure, carbon monoxide poisoning and house fires.
