The Border Patrol is reporting the largest seizure of meth in the history of the Del Rio Port of Entry. On Monday, an 18-wheeler tried to cross the Del Rio International Bridge when a Border Patrol officer referred it for a secondary inspection. A K-9 examination resulted in the discovery of more than 13-hundred pounds of meth divided into 320 packages. The Border Patrol says the drugs have an estimated street value of nearly 12-million-dollars. Homeland Security and ICE special agents are investigating the seizure.
