Darden Restaurants is purchasing the popular Austin-based Tex-Mex chain Chuy's. Chuy's has more than 100 locations. The boards of directors for both companies have already approved the $605 million all-cash transaction. Darden is the parent company of Olive Garden, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Longhorn Steakhouse, and others. Chuy's was founded in 1982 in Austin, and now has locations in 15 states.
