Authorities have located the body of Cole Henderson, a 27-year-old American hiker, who went missing on July 14 while hiking in Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park in Spain. Henderson's body was discovered on August 8, near the Spain-France border, after he appeared to have fallen approximately 650 feet down a mountain, as reported by Spanish news outlets El Espanol and El Diario De Huesca.

Henderson, a 2020 graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, was an avid adventurer known for his love of hiking and traveling. He had been hiking with friends in the remote park but decided to continue alone, putting his phone on airplane mode to conserve battery. Concerns arose when he missed a flight from Spain to Amsterdam, where he was residing.

The search for Henderson gained international attention after his friends posted pleas for help on social media. His parents, Trevania and John Henderson, traveled to Spain to assist in the search efforts. Henderson's grandfather was Guilford Dudley Jr., a former ambassador to Denmark, and his grandmother, Jane Dudley, founded Nashville's Swan Ball.

His family, deeply rooted in Nashville, has been informed of the discovery. Henderson's adventurous spirit was evident in his social media posts, which documented his travels and outdoor activities across various countries.
