The Churro Looks to Make a Triumphant Return to Costco

Big news for fans of the ever-popular Costco churro.

The big box store has developed a sizable following for its food court over the years where it sells the cinnamon sugar-coated treats.

At the Huntington Beach Bella Terra shopping center location, shoppers have noticed a “Coming Soon” sign promoting the return of the churro. Another customer says they spotted the same announcement at a Costco in Irvine.

If there’s a downside to the return of the beloved sweet treat, it’s that it comes with a price increase. Previously offered for $1, the churro is now said to be priced at $1.49.

Costco hasn’t announced when, or if, a national rollout is coming.

Those looking for low-cost eats have long since flocked to the chain’s food court. Some of the other top-selling menu items include pizza, hot dogs, the barbecue brisket sandwich, turkey provolone sandwich and acai bowls.

Within the last year, Costco has considered requiring an annual membership - which starts at $60 - to gain access to its food court.
